Standing prominently tall on an important arterial road of Jaipur, Argus is a successful expression of vertical living and the concept of luxurious terraced apartments in the sky. The design of the tower responds to the 360-degree expansive views of the city and the Aravalli hill ranges to the north and east. Drawing from the philosophy of solar passive architecture and sustainable design, the 64 luxury apartments are planned in a rotation around the central core of the building creating large voids for public and private terraces at multiple levels. These voids are the core of the iconic character of the building, creating self-shading, introverted interaction and ventilation through the spaces.

Jaipur Neighborhoods
ARGUS draws inspiration from the traditional neighbourhoods of Jaipur, where communities were organized around a central public space — a chowk or communal hub — from which housing organically evolved. These settlements wove together layers of social and spatial interaction, with pocket gardens and shaded courtyards dispersed throughout, creating a living fabric that balanced density with intimacy. Translating this urban memory into a vertical form, the design reinterprets the idea of the “central hub” within a high-rise typology.

Concept Sketch

Massing Concept
This concept manifests as a sculpted façade where a central clubhouse void anchors the building, while successive green terraces shift vertically, forming a cascading series of public garden voids. These carved spaces not only evoke the rhythm of Jaipur’s neighbourhood greens but also enhance climate responsiveness — providing self-shading, natural cooling, and visual relief. The central club, positioned equidistant from all residences, encourages social interaction while optimizing elevator circulation. The result is a vertical community that merges tradition with innovation, transforming an urban tower into a breathing, social, and sustainable organism.

Ground Floor Plan

Section
Designed to meet the specific needs of its occupants, the tower features a grand double-height entrance lobby, VIP waiting area, central security room, reprographics section, party hall, crèche, and expansive business center and delicatessen — each spanning approximately 2,500 sq ft. The structural ingenuity behind the design, incorporating shifting unit orientations and column-free terraces, makes the building an engineering landmark — the first of its kind in the city.
